Vance And Hines Long Shots
New to this site. This question has probably been asked before.
I just bought a new '10 hertiage softail. I would like to install V&H long shots. Do I really need the FullPak? Does the Harley Download work with this bike? What kind of air filter would work best with these pipes. By the way, How much does Harley charge for the download?
Thanks, Jim

Skip the download. It's worthless. You can do the pipes without doing the air or the fuel management. But in my opinion, you should do them all at once. The FuelPak is good if you're not doing Stage II (like me). It's easy and not too expensive. It'll really cool the bike down and richen up the fuel mixture.

a dyno tune is the best, so I'd reccomend getting a SERT dyno tune and doing the pipes and aircleaner at the same time, it will be worth the wait. if you are 100% sure you are not going to do more than the pipes and air cleaner then the fuelpak will work but won't be as good as a dyno tune with a good tuner.

Skip the download and get a fuel management system, in the long run it will save you money. If you decide to do any further upgrades after this one you'll have to do another download and at that point you could have had a good fuel management system that is capable of upgrades. If you do nothing else, please skip the factory download.
