Default Pros and cons on the 2004 Heritage

A friend of mine is looking at a Heritage 2004. Is there anything he should look for?

THX!

It is a 5 speed 88" motor. How many miles are on it? Ask if the infamous cam chain pensioners have been checked or if the cams have been swapped out to gear drive possibly, or if they have upgraded to the new cam plate and oil pump.

The 07 and up are 96" and 6 speed, but I ride a 2002 5 speed and love it. Less issues with heat and such and you do not have to hassle with 02 sensors either.

Mine has been pretty much trouble free. I have just over 10,000 miles on it. The fuel float in the tank hung up once and was fixed under warrantee. I think there was a tech bulletin about it.

I have over 16,500 on mine with nothing outside of typical maintenance. Oh and a rear tire.

Mine is injected though. I love it.
