Default 103 conversion worth it?

Hi all. Coming to that tome of year when the bike will soon be going away for the winter. I'm thinking of having the 103 conversion done to my deluxe and would like your opinions as to whether it is worth the cost. Is the extra power noticeable?
Thanks

Yep, yep and yep.. Only thing I would do differently next time is do a 107 kit and just get the max out of the build..

I think it is worth it. Build it yourself, it is quite simple, just time consuming and use all the extra money you were going to spend on labor on porting and polishing the heads, cams, etc.

Yes. I upgraded my '08 Heritage to the 103 inch big bore kit at the local HD dealership last winter, when they offered winter discounts. I am extremely happy with it. No complaints at all.

I wouldn't do it without changing cams as well. The cams make the biggest difference, even if you didn't go to a 103".

Yes and then having it Dynoed...after you have all the pipes and stuff you want on it...it makes a big difference if you have a good dyno tech do it...

Good advice....If I'd have just gone to 107" the first time around, I would've saved a lot of time and $$.

I agree it's always best to think, re-think, then think again. Ask me how I know. Also do what you are doing here...geting advice from those that have went before you and learn from their success and their failures.

I decided to stay with a 95" and have been very satisfied. After trying to save some $$$ and make a SE211 cam work that was already in the bike with head work and other mods I finnaly bit the bullet and went with and T-Man cams, pistons, etc. Even though the pieces were installed at different times it is essentially a Stage II kit. Had I done this in the beginng it would have saved me some dough and not as much down time.

It is worth it?? Really you are the only one that can answer that question. I say yes...please send me your credit card info and I'll start buyin! LOL! Maybe you should start out with how much $$$ you have to blow and what your expectations are and see if these two together are realistic. I posted some dyno charts from T-Man's website on a nother post yesterday and you can build a fire-breathing 103" that can produce 130hp/133tq. I promise you WILL feel that with your but dyno and your wallet.
