The third hole is for bikes with the strut bolts in different places. Just use two of the holes on each side. the Heritage has more strut bolts than the fatboy.

If it is the detachable sideplates then the plates should only have two holes in them but it will also have a notch cut out for the rear saddle bag bolt that does not touch the side plates at all. I will try to get pics up in a bit.

I can add the stock heritage bags just have to change four bolts. Just hate covering up all my chrome and wheels.

helps a lot fireman...cept I obviously dont have the right "heritage" detachable side plates. I mean it fits the bike, but covers the middle hole needed to attach the heritage bags with the easy bracket. My sideplate doesnt have that nifty notch you have, its solid chrome. Next question, what kind of machine shop can make that notch? By the way your bike looks beautiful and thanks for taking time from your busy day to assist.

I would just find a buddy with a plasma cutter. Easy way to fix. Or see if HD will exchange them.

The side mounting plates you have are for a fatboy I believe. If it was me I'd sell the ones you have (if they can not be returned where you bought them), and buy the correct ones. they show up on ebay fairly regularly. It seems that if you have the notch cut you risk having it rust or look hacked up.

Yes I actually bought them here on the site, the nbr that was passed to me (Harley Part nbr) actually was the nbr that had fitment for my 07 FLSTC. Thanks you all, appreciate the help
