Have a 2000 Fat Boy 24k on the meter. While riding at highway speed,or in teh 35-50 range, occasionally it will seem to run out of fuel. Sometimes it will restart imediately, other times waiting a few minutes will start it. Whats up with this?\r\n
Thanxs

Had a Goldwing (sorry) that used to do the EXACT same thing--at highway speeds,it would cut out 1 cylinder at a time until it was dead--just like running out of gas. dealer replaced just about every component on the bike under warranty having to do with the engine running--couldn't fix it. I discovered the problem myself purely by accident--turned out to be a CLOGGED FUEL CAP VENT. Hope this helps.

Been off the net for quite a while, but wanted to update this. The cause was electrical, and very minor. Removed the speedo cowl, there is a five prong connector under it. Connections coroded and loose. Small flat tip scraped and reseated wiring into connection. Problem solved! Thax to all who contributed
