I guess you would need to change the Wheel bearings as well. 06 was 3/4" and I think 08 is 1".

I know it sucks but just put the right parts on and not get involved in making something fit....

the axle fits the wheel its the lowers that do not match up , 2006 has smaller hole that hold the axle

Just so I'm clear, I would put the correct lowers on and not start with an axle and bearing change.

Dealer should have known when you told him you have an 08.

Make the dealer fix the mistake. That is ridiculous. I'd be in there talking to the service manager or the owner. It is their fault.

thats like the time i bought efi hose clamps and they sold me carb clamps. i did my own work and learned not to trust the parts guy. that is why i see so many people looking the part with the counter guy. i also some times ask the service shop to confirm the part. i am guessing your doing the work your self. i would take them back for the correct part and any non reusable parts you had to use i would have them replace free.

Yea Deffinitly take the part back, their fault, and they will continue to do stupid things like that, I learned the hard way bout parts guys, so far the ones here at the local dealer seem to know their stuff.
