I have the heat demons, but once I hit hwy speeds, they become less affective.

Had them both when still living in miserably cold Northern Europe.

Heated grips are useless, your palms are toasting away and the back of your hand/fingers is freezing cold. They fail at the most importune time, usually in the middle of a long ride through the cold rain and are expensive to replace. Another annoying thing was that the left one usually is warmer than the right one. Right one also tends to fail first (all that twisting on the throttle I guess)

The Gerbing gloves were nice and not as bulky as the pair of winter gloves I used before the Gerbings.

The heated gloves and thermostat were pricey, but with some decent care they lasted me over 5 years. So all in all not that expensive! (When we left EU 2 years ago, I sold them on ebay ... as far as I know they still do duty)

Only draw back of gloves, they are slightly less convenient than the heated grips because of the wires and plugs.

Thanks everyone. I think that I have decided that heated gloves are the way to go regardless of the inconvenience. Will check out Gerbing and others.

Are there any that can run off batteries, or do they all need to be plugged in.

My hands are the only thing that keep me from riding in our winter.

You'll get used to it. The good, way out weighs the bad IMHO

I have a heated vest that plugs into the bike. Is there a way to connect the gloves along with the vest? Thanks.

Think on Gerbings website they have thermostats and connectors for one or two maybe more attachements/items and all the connections for bikes..even battery heated gloves I think but I would myself prefer connection to the bikes battery.. just read and heard only good about Gerbings..theyre top of my xmas list ...

I have the HD heated gloves. Love them. The wires are cumbersome as they attach to the sleeves of my heated jacket, which attaches to the cord coming up under my seat. But they work fine when you ride. 2 Thumbs up for heated gloves!
