I have heard good things about the ThunderJet kit in other bikes with larger engines, however on a stock bike, I think most people gain more benefit from the ThunderSlide kit when using the CV carb. I do not know anything about the TJ kit, but I thought it was advertised as a "beefed up" intermediate jetting system to fill a void at midrange.

Its not that its going to make the bike hopped up but it just will run way better. I had many C V carbs some ran really good but none as good as the 42mm. Good luck.. but if it was me I start over with a new carb if I was going to keep something.

I had a similar problem when i redid my carb, turns out when i took out the emultion tube the needle seat fell out and i put it in backwards i put the short side in first and it wouldnt let the emultion tube screw in all the way youll know if its in wrong you will still see threads on the tube.
