My quick detach windshield if kinda difficult to remove quickly. Does anybody have a close up shot of the bolts where the clips slide over and lock? Mine seem too far in and I'm wondering if I'm missing a spacer or something. Much appreciated.
I can take a couple tonight when I get home.
I have the opposite problem. Using the supplied hardware mine was a little loose and would rattle. I added a washer to the top mount on the left side to make it tighter. I throw a t shirt over it and squeeze the sides in a little, pops right off.
thanks for everyone's input...i did pick up the harley windshield yesterday
i gotta say, after putting it on, i don't think i'll want to take it off, especially
with the weather in chicago being a bit cool these days
i did have a problem with the top bolt on the bracket...it just did not
go in as smoothly and tightly as it should on one side
luckily i got it snug, so i didn't have to add any additional washers, but
for the time being, it doesn't look like its going anywhere, or is the
headlight housing rattling.
Love mine. It's my wifes bike (now) and she won't ride anywhere without it. Except of course the beach. Can't be seen down on PCH with a windshield on. Everyone knows that.
This is Memphis Shades, not the best pic. It attatches easier and better than H-D's and is half the price. But... is made from Plex not Lexan which is why it's cheaper and therefore isn't as durable. It's 3 yrs old now and still in great shape.
