Yeah I know there a few threads on the Crossbones brake ... I read em all. Couple peeps suggested that the 2009 CVO caliper might fit the bones ... so thought I would check it out. (The CVO 4 pot caliper part number is 44079-97C)
I think the single piston on the bones works pretty well, I’m looking for much more more ‘feel’ and a little bit more power though. I heard changing out the pads helps, can’t get the American made EBC ‘HH' rated pads in the UK; I would love to hear on the ‘best’ pads to get if i’m gonna have to ship em in from the US.
I think this picture suggests that minimum is caliper AND mounting bracket, plus a trip to the powder coaters.
The PM stuff is just too expensive for me by the time I paid duty, will try pads first. maybe look for a bigger master cylinder on ebay. Or Harrison Billet caliper for Christmas.
Anyone who actually done a change on the front brake on the bones would be great to hear from.... thanks for reading!!
