So if they are giving u 14k and you still need to pay another 17k for what is about an 18k bike I think, I would have to say no because you are basically only getting 2k for your bike.

That is if your bike is paid off which I suspect it isn't

I think what he is saying is they wanted $3400 difference. $17,400 selling price minus his trade. From there, you add any payoff amount owed if any. I am not sure what the list is on the 11, but it sounds to me like an average deal.

I think what hes saying is he would owe $3,300 on the new bike.

Doesnt sound like a bad deal if your looking to part ways with the train for a fatboy.

Sash

check out Grand Rapids Harley in MI they are having a retail for retail weekend. Check it out and let me know what you find out. Apparently they are treating any bike like the sporty trade up program. And no the bike did not need to come from them from what I understand.

Here is some contact info for you

Tell them you'll do it if they throw the exhasut in. IF not walk. Call them back in a few days and they should be ready to deal. It's all how you play your cards.

That's a generous trade allowance. Also, you're paying tax on the difference only. I'd go for it regardless of the pipes.

Since you posted on here that u are thinking about the trade, you must be serious. So, if you were going to sell the bike individually, you would need to sell it for $15,120 to break even at 8% sales tax. Know anybody with that kinda cash that will step up? Like Drew said, I'd give them a few days to sit on it and I think you can find a good compromise.
