I agree! My bones started out real uncomfortable. Looked good, felt bad. A change of the seat, engin heat shields and it has started to get comfortable. After this winters mods, it will be comfortable. My last softail was very easy to ride thousands of miles at a time. I look forward to this bones being that way.

A completely different and much more comfortable ride. Giving up and selling now will cost you a lot more than any combination of seats, bars and pegs I can think of.
Started off with lower back pain in the original setup. Tried the Harley Goodies to stretch out more, didn't make a difference. 2 inch springs, didn't help with stock seat. Got the 1925 style seat, tried it with 2 and 3 inch springs, still lower back hurt. Got the Le Pera, lower back and thighs hurt. Put the 3 inch forward extensions for the floorboards, with all 3 seats, still no good.

Overall issue is lower back support. The forwards don't help at all. I know that the bars need changing anyway, but even if i adjust to where I would have new bars be, the seat and foot controls are still the issue. I know I already put all this money into buying the bike itself, but for what I've put in for the seat and foot controls so far, it makes the idea of trying other setups that much more unappetizing.

Might sound a stupid to you guys and I understand that, but I hate having the bike just sitting there knowing all the miles I've put have sucked.

Try tilting the bars forward a little bit. I have had a couple of bikes that "scrunched" me down and gave me back pain until I did that. Good luck.

When I put apes on my bike it helped with my lower back. Also switching to an air ride will enable you to modify your ride at any time.
