Default 2017 softail deluxe

So I have about 600 miles on my new bike and my right butt cheek is killing me! I am looking into bars for the fact that I'm a taller rider and the oem ones are a little on the short side. My question is being that I'm hunched over riding with the low bars, could that be causing my *** to hurt? Or is this a seat problem? I'm new to the Harley would and I figure some of you guys that are more experienced with these bikes can help. Being the bars are close to $500 and the seat also about the same price, I would like to spend money on the *** problem first.

The cure on my 17 HSTC was the Mustang Seat... it was like 279.00 thru DK and worth every nickle...

Thank you. I had a feeling it was the seat. Guess I better get to price shopping

Have you first tried adjusting the handle bars? You can get the grips a little higher and closer to you by loosening them (handlebars) and adjusting up. I did this first and got my hands more level, and my back more upright. Seat will still be replaced for long rides.

I haven't but I'm going to do it right now. I'll report back!

Oh, oh... All I have been hearing from YouTube posters was how incredibly comfortable the new seats are. Here we go again...

You could also add higher risers to the bars. Maybe that would relieve the hunched up feeling?

Yea mine is a 17. Lol I own a Harley now I'm sure my wallet won't be full for long with the aftermarket stuff available.

As for the bars. I moved them up it seem to help a little but as of now I need to have a not so sore cheek to compare. But I'm thinking it's a seat problem. I did test ride a heritage (2018) and the seat did feel a little bit better but I was also only on it for a few miles.
