Ive got the HD SE 95" kit with head work. Pushing 89HP and 106 TQ with a nice curve using the SERT. It has 33" samson fishtails w/o baffles which doesnt help but there is a give and take. I know I could get better numbers obviously if I changed pipes.
I say go for it. Just depends on how far you want to take it.

Probably my right hand Drew. Wheels needed to be welded and balanced if your gonna be tuff on them. They are the weak link in tc motors to me.Mine was the 3rd one to do this summer amonst the people I ride with. The other 2 were 96" motors, all softy's. Don't know if it has anything to do with the counterbalance or not but it ain't cheap to fix.G.
I been thinkin of a 95 kit, but I want Wiseco Pistons on a 10.25 or 10.5 compression, and thinkin of using the Andrews 37 chain drives.
I heard the SE pistons are cast and not forged.
I wouldnt worry about gear drives. The chain drive setups are good for 20-40k miles depending on how you ride and even then its easy to inspect the tensioner shoes. I always have buyers remorse no matter what I do. Funny thing is I never think about any of it while I am riding.
I just received my SE 95 inch kit and will run a power commander 3,Ness big sucker 2 air cleaner and true duals which will hurt the power a little.I want to run a Woods cam but have not made a final choice yet.Woods website is very helpful with a ton of dyno charts of builds using his cams.
