Tank Panel
I am trying to find a tank panel with just HD bar and shield (either stamped in the leather or medallion) for my 06 Heritage Softail. I would prefer no pouch or studs, anybody got a link or recommend website I can search for that.
Thanks

You probably wont find one witha HD bar and shield unless you get one from HD.There are plenty of aftermarket choices.Look at JP cycles website or look at HD,s website or your dealers catalog.
EXCELLENT....Just the idea I was looking for...is that attached just with the sticky backing on the emblem?

question in reference to tank panels? i am new to softails by just getting my 07 standard from my 05 sporty and i want to get the skull panel but unsure about install. seems like it shouldn't be too hard to install one, but just wanted to get some input if it can be done relatively simple or not. any responses would be great!
It takes about five minutes.
Take off seat. Take out screw holding bottom of tank panel. Loosen bolt in the middle of the dash until you can lift it up enough to pull the tank panel off the 2 pins that hold it under the dash. This is good time to carefully wash off the dirt that finds its way under there so your new panel won't grind it into your paint. Put new panel in place and stick your finger under the dash to make sure its on the pins. Set dash down, tighten up bolt, and replace screw at bottom.
Be careful not to scratch your paint!
A little tip: When I loosen dash bolts, I stretch a piece of saran wrap over the bolt to keep the wrench from marking it.
