I did something similar, but that was because of an "oops" on my part. I messed up the emblem on the back of my sissybar and it just so happens, the same emblem was on my tank bib/panel. So, I took the emblem off my tank bib/panel and put if on the back of my sissybar and then took an emblem I bought and stuck it on the tank bib/panel to cover the holes. Here are before and after pics:
