Default exhaust question

I have a 04 Heritage Classic, I'm wanting to go back to a stock exhaust and send the mufflers to American Customs. I can get an exhaust (head pipes and mufflers) off a 04 Fatboy thats on craigslist. The question is will they fit on my Heritage.

OR, anyone with a stock set of pipes for a 04 Heritage Classic they would like to sell?

Thanks.

That is a good question. The fatboy version has a crossover pipe between the mufflers and might sit a little higher, but I don't know for sure. Ask here for a set of stock pipes for your specific ride and I am sure you will find some.

OEM Fatboy pipes will not fit on a Heritage. There is not room for the fatboy shotgun exhaust beneath the Heritage saddlebags.

Did you try posting a WTB ad on craigslist near you?

You should be able to find some, do you have Carbed or Injec. A lot of people changed them out. If you do get some stock ones, they sound real nice with the baffles removed, I think better than any after mrkt's. The Dealers used to remove them for you up until about 02 or so, all you need is I think a 1-7/8" hole saw and cut the weld around the end. They're not too loud but nice deep tone.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. I'll keep looking, all I really need are the pipes, I bought some mufflers off craigslist.
