man, i got taken. I bought an 03 fatboy from a dealer with 11500 miles and paid $11.9K
I got mine private sale off Craigslist, I was looking for a bike 2002 to 2006 that had 10k or under miles, I saw them going for $9500-$12000. I came across this bike on CL for $9,500 and offered $8,500 and settled on $8,800. I'm very happy
Yeah i was kinda stuck buyin from adealer cause i had a heavily modded vrod that i couldnt get sold, and the dealership was the only one that would take it on trade.

My brother in law had a VRod he heavily modded (spent $8,000 on the bike used and put over $30,000 into mods)...sold it for $15,000 in $20.00 bills to pay for part of his wedding....sick game we play.
Thanks for the replies.
Kinda what I thought. She says she wants to keep
it. Most of those add on's were right out of the shute
at the dealer. They did give us a good deal. They had a special
program for HOG members in the local chapter. We got 1st dibs
on the Aniv models (lottery syst) and a break on accessories.
We paid straight MSRP for the bike itself and got the access
for 20 % off parts and labor. Good deal considering this was Dec
of 02, right in the peak of the hay day. But it was still a chunk
of change !! 24 out the door I think.

How the HELL, not to mention WHY?, do you put 30 THOUSAND DOLLARS in upgrades on a damn VROD????
