Welcome...
I found a 2003 Heritage Softail Classic last fall with just 1,300 miles on it.
Chrome all over it, she is a beauty. I've taken all winter to customize her for both functionality as well as looks.
First thing your should do is find out the age or the tires and the service records, if available. This will help you prioritize any work you may need/want to do for safety, maintenance and performance.
Congrats...a 2003 Heritage Softail was my first Harley. I bought one new. They are great scoots. The only issue is the cam tensioners can wear out and cause serious motor damage. I suggest you do some research on this issue and inspect yours for wear. They should be inspected periodically and changed. Harley corrected this issue with the 96 motor. Welcome to the family...
If your saying the only problem they had were the cam tensioners, why no recall? you said they fixed the problem in that case they knew there was a problem to begin with.........

That is the only known issue on all 2000-2006 softails. Pull the cam chest cover and have a look at the tenioners. Congrats on the new ride and post some pics for us.
