Default Deluxe Mod Ideas

I need some ideas on what to do next on my Deluxe. I see all these Deluxe's on here that look sick, and i look at mine and it looks stock.

I'm going to get a lowering kit, I like the bars so apes are out, and I might go with Fat Daddy's 50's.

What are some other ideas?

Here's where I'm at right now

might try a plate relocater from www.softbake.com it really cleans up the back end. Haven't done one yet, but it's on the list.

21" in front, side mount plate, smaller intake unit, either change out the seat for a sleek solo or at least lose the passenger pad.

Solo seat, move the license plate, maybe new risers so it gives it more of a beach bar look, a/c cover, remove the rear fender reflector, and lose the dog bowl on the front wheel

I know it's all personal opinion, but I think a stock Deluxe is the best looking bike Harley makes, or has made in many years. The only one that "may" be better is the Heritage springer (saw an anniversary Heritage Springer at the dealer parking lot Sunday). If I had your bike, I'd get a detachable windshield and bags and call it a day.

If I really HAD to change the looks and burn some money, I'd put a chrome springer front end on it and a screamin' eagle air cleaner/filter with a round "Nostalgic" air cleaner cover. If I was building from the ground up, I'd basically want a stock deluxe with a spring seat and springer front end. Can't have too many springs. Then again, the front end and lights look awfully good, so maybe not.

Thing about the Deluxe is.....they're a fine looking bike as-is. And yours is no exception. You got a nice looking ride. But if you have to mod, I'd get a sleek solo seat, Softbrake license plate relocater, ditch the dog bowl (something I plan on doing), and maybe some of those wheels with the fat spokes. Lowering? The Deluxe is already an inch lower to begin with and the ride is not so great with a lowered bike (IMHO) plus you'll be scraping all the time. I'd leave it as is. Have fun.

I'd do the Plate relocator, visors on the turn signal to match the headlights and passing lights, air filter, 21" wheel. Oh yeah, I'm partial to fishtails on a deluxe.
