Im going to bag my Fatboy and need some advice on who to get them from. Sumac is the only company that ive seen that makes them. Is there any others out there? Im going to use HD hard bags. Thanks for the help in advance and have a happy Thanksgiving.
Keep the shinny side up.
+1 on the Cycle Visions Bagger Tail. Been using it for a few years now during the winter months. Works great with Harley bags. Comes in chrome or black.
my FB is bagged, but I'd like to make them detachable. Looking into EZ brackets or EDGE saddlebag brackets. They look simple to install and quickly removable. Its a BIT$% when your cleanining the rear wheel
Hey, please listen up. Take it from someone who's been there...
I wanted my bags detachable too, so I purchased Edge (Ghost) brackets for my hard bags.
What a nightmare! They do NOT work well with softail frames and hard bags at all. They bounced all over the place. We tried everything short of modifying the frame with a new weld, but nothing helped. They eventually bent my fender rails.
Part of the problem is the softail frame and suspension.
After that expensive lesson, I got Cycle Visions tail baggers and HD hard bags. No regrets this time, their brackets are made for the softails.
The Bagger Tail is what I will get when i do this as well. And i can get you the bagger Tail at a discount! Plus you'll pull tail like a guy on a bagger too! Bad joke.
