Dunlops are good, but if your goin to run a 21 up front go with Metz. Ive heard some bad stuff with avons. Like discoloring and defected, now, may have been a bad batch. Avons also have the smaller white wall, than a metz. Also, metz whitewalls go all the way to the rim, avons have a strip of Black between the rim and the whitewall. Just doesnt look rite to me, JMHO. Now, if you wanna run a FAT Ganster White wall, that will cost you some CHEDDAR. Vee rubbers are Around $250 a tire, and Hothawgz are $389 but they have the FAT white wall, almost double the size of metz or avons. I dont think Dunlop offers a 21 inch tire. If you run a 21 up front, depending on what size you run width wise, you will have to stretch a metz or avon on a 21x3 or wider wheel. If you need anymore info just hit me up on my profile.
Funny you should mention discoloring. the reason I originally went with Avon's is there was an issue of discoloring with the Metzelers where they were brownish a few years ago. It seems all comes full circle. Here is a pic for the original poster of my ride.
Drew, everytime I look at your scoot, I get jealous. Yeah, I guess theres bad batches in every tire company. I just like the way metzs whitewall goes all the way to the rim. guess thats why I ordered some metzs from you guys 2 weeks ago. Gonna order another set end of dec. You guys just keep the prices rite where they are at. LOL
Question? Are you guys using a 80/90-21 or a 90/90 21? Will the 90/90-21" tire
fit under the stock Heritage fender without rubbing on the inside top of the fender?
Thanks in advance. Pops.
I've got a similar question, which HD wheel should I run for a 21" on my 88 Heritage? Not looking to buy aftermarket at the moment, poor folks have poor ways and stuff.
