Default Highway Pegs

My brother has a 2007 Heritage Softail. He is wanting some highway pegs for his crash bar for Christmas. I thought i'd ask the professionals here, about which might be best. He said he wants the ones that flip up and out of the way when not in use. But I wanted any thoughts on which ones might work better than others.

FYI- Search is not working for some reason, for me at least.

Thanks

I have plain old HD mounts & pegs and am real happy with them. I had some Kuryakyn ones on my last bike & they turned into pitted, rusting crap in a year! Nothing changed, the bike sat in the same garage, was rode the same places as this bike and these have on almost 4 years now. Lots of guys on here have had better luck with Kury's stuff but, I'd stick with HD.
I'm no "professional", just my .

Look at the design of his hand grips and foot pegs. You can match that design with the freeway pegs. All of them can be flipped up, out of the way, but most people don't do that unless they are going into a tight place.

Had some ultra adjustable Kurakyn pegs on a prior bike that had adjustments for height, front-back, tilt, rotation, etc. and they were all the time needing to be tightened up. For me the more bolts they have on them the more things to come loose. I like the simple ones in the post above.

I bought the Harley Pegs and the 360 degree mounts which enable you to mount the pegs where they are comfortable for you.

Me too; and I purchased the long arms; I'm a bit short so they sit at a perfect distance for me. The long arms work for tall riders too; just reverse them.

I think highway pegs bolted to the crashbar are ugly. I haven't seen a set I really liked, they all look like they're just slapped on. The streamliner pegs attached to a simple mount as on 07FLHT's bike are about the best looking, simple and unobtrusive. I especially don't care for the looks of the Kury set I have on my bike, they're just these big ol' blobs bolted to the crashbar. The only reason I keep them on is that they're really, really comfortable on long trips. I'm thinking about trying the footboard hideaway style pegs, but I'm not convinced the position would work for me.

I went with the Kuryakyn Cruise Arm mark 4 for my Heritage. I didn't want to add engine guards (aka crash bars). The cruise arm puts the highway pegs in front and above the floor boards. I think they are more comfortable than highway pegs mounted in crash bars.

This is a great help guys. Thanks. I did see the HD 360 in the dealership. He is about 5' 8" , short guy, so was thinking something that would fit his short legs. Damn...HD does mean "hundred dollars" lol.

Fat Bagger Inc. has some that flip out pegs from the floor board. Looks like a clean way to have highway bars. Have not used them, but thinking about getting them for my fat boy.
