I just purchase a 2007 FXSTC. 2300 miles on it. It came V&H pipes, SE air cleaner, SE plugs and wires and PCIII tuner. the right map for the upgrades is loaded in the tuner (checked it myself)
The plugs are black and sooty looking as is the inside of the exsaust.
it seems to idle fine but has an occational hesitation if you open the throttle. it doesn't seem to matter if you open it slow or crack it it still has the occational miss/hesitation.
I checked the plugs ant they are the correct part number. I've only put about 40 miles on her so I don't think the plugs would have fouled that bad since i've owned it (two weeks)
it seems to run fine otherwise but the plug fouling concerns me. this is my fiest bike in 17 years so I don't have a lot of rescent memories to compare to as far as the performance goes but it does seem okay.
I rode for many years when I was younger but sold my last bike in 1993.
700cc 4cyl rice popper.
I was planning on a dyno tune in the spring. Its too cold and too much snow to ride anymore this year. going to winterize it tomorrow.
The local shop is an authorized Dyno Jet facility.
Do you think this will eliminate the problem or should I just call DJ and ask for a slightly leaner Map with my upgrades? Thanks!
The map might be right but you can manually adjust the power commander to enrich or lean it out with the buttons. It might have been manually enriched before.Go to the PC website and find out how.
