You will need the arlen ness forward control extensions. I'm only 5'11" and they made a big improvement.
+1
My '06 Train came with the 3'' factory extensions already on it, and it still wasn't enough room. I put the A/N 3'' kit on and it is right around where I want it, 6'' extended over stock. People told me I would hate it, but I love to stretch out. My knees have a slight bend, and I can kick my feet up on the pegs if I am on the highway.
Side Note: The Ness kit comes with an extended linkage, but check your controls first to see if they are extended already. The included shift linkage from Ness DID NOT fit my bike, and they would not send me an extended one because they told me I already had extended controls and the kit is designed to work with a stock bike. I went with a $20 threaded part from Kuryakyn that allowed me to run the linkage.
It is very easy to install. Comes with all the parts that you need and simple instructions. Dealing with the rear brake is the most difficult part as I remember. Order a set of speed bleeders and make your life easier. You will use them again when you change your cables and bars.
