black forward controls
I'm looking for black forward controls.
I've seen these from nash but I'm not sure they work for street bob.

you may want to rethink the blasting chrome ones. i was just getting back my heat shields from getting blasted and was asking the guy about maybe doing some bars or fork lowers. he said that blasting chromed items (especially if it was done well) can be a problem in that it is stuck on there pretty well and sometimes they have to get on it pretty hard to get it off and it can marr up the surface and take off too much material. and if you powdercoat over that, sometimes the finish can be not so smooth and you'd definately see it. he also said that a flat black wouldn't be any better.
so the next logical question i had was, well what about my pipes. he said in my case, the hi-temp paint i am using is somewhat thicker and won't show the inconsistancies as much.
but i did mention that, on my current shields (i am doing a new set of pipes) it does seem smoother in some places than others. which he said is why (i thought it was my crappy painting abilities!). i could put extra coats on to even it out but that probably wouldn't be the right way to go since i might get bubbling. so, he suggested i maybe hit it with a little sand paper first and make sure that it's blown off really good before i paint them.
so, that was kind of the long way around. but i guess with controls, you have less surface area to see the imperfections as you would in pipes or much bigger and more visable pieces.
you might want to see if you can get a raw set. call the manuf and tell them your doing a custom and want to match. course, i think most places have a min charge for coating and in the end, i might be just as much as buying the already black ones (which i agree, all seem kinda pricey BTW)

I beileve i still have a set of stock wideglide forward controls if you're interested. I'll have to look and see. The brackets are the black wrinkle finish, but you're on your own when it comes to the levers. Come to think of it, I don't believe the levers are chrome either, I believe the are stainless. If they are, you could always powder coat the levers. Let me look and see if I still have them, and I'll tell you what they are.
