Default Layback or Softbrake

Any feedback on what one to get. I know alot of guys have the softbrake, but I kind of like the plate above and not under the the light, but I also like how clean it looks.

Any problems with the softbrake. Rubbing on fender, cleaning fender, the gasket ?

I'm just debating, trying to figure out what one to get. Factoring in I'm not very mechanical, prob. can't install a LED plate ( I don't think) and it's about $100 more.

Any pics of both on a deluxe would be great

You look at the Kuryakan wrapped layback plate? Fits perfectly with the Deluxe and my Fat Boy Lo.

I had a Lay back wrapped one but had fabbed up a bracket because the setup is for the old style tail lights not the tombstones. Anyway it's my bust for not using thicker gauge metal I lost it somewhere down I-15 hahahhahaha now I have a softbrake, but if someone finds it lemme know please. Jmo the laydown wrapped looked better with out the luggage rack installed

I used the radiantz plate bracket $20 just run the wires thru the hole in the fender that the turn signal wires go thru then back thru the fender into the tail light housing and wire to the existing plate light wire. Believe me if I can do it anyone can.

I just installed my softbrake yesterday. Not to difficult and I did it without a jack which would have helped a lot. The mounting plate for the tag has a rubber tab that rests against the fender so you wont scratch it. As for cleaning it shouldn't be a problem.

Here are some before and after pics.

After

I like the look of the softbrake and will be getting one for my bike soon. If you want a layback plate just modify the original braket, thats what I did and it looks great no one can tell that it's a homemade job.

Did you just bend it? Vice grip and a wrench?

I was thinking that I could take the original do that.
