There are tech forums for engine, suspension, driveline, oil, paint, electrical, etc. If the post is tecnical in nature it should be posted in a technical forum; anything else can go in the softail forum. Makes sense and, in spite of the search feature, makest it easier for someone looking for technical information to go to the technical section and search there. If there were only 100 forum members, a single Twin Cam forum would work but with as many forum members here, posting by topic works; get over it.
good thing about the rain, I found all my roof leaks

Ps: I hope all you guys in that area are safe and dry.
I once had a discussion with an older gentleman. He was complaining 'bout technology and how he had to keep purchasing the same "damn cellphone brand" because at his age it was difficult to understand how things worked when they evolve (read change)... My answer and final argument was, "maybe you should learn to learn instead of trying to learn how to use a phone", those in here technologically inclined will understand what I was trying to say. His final argument was "I will keep using this phone brand until I need a cellphone or they discontinue the damn thing..." His choice.
There is always people in here whiling to tell you where things have been moved to, it takes less amount of time for you to find a thread than to post in here complaining 'bout a forum change... ...winter is getting us all, I guess...
Ride safe,
Mimo.
Personally I don't see how sharing an opinion on this particular change can be equated to finding it "difficult to understand how things worked when they evolve (read change)". I'm confident that the opinions expressed by the so called "complainers" have nothing to do with having difficulty finding the posts, but have more to do with the ease and visibility of seeing posts that may be relevant to their Softails. They are telling you what makes your forum (product) more attractive. I'm sorry that it was assumed by many of us that, as is the case with many successful business ventures, such feedback (good or bad) is useful in the evolution of your product.
As mentioned in another thread on this topic, I've read this forum daily for three and a half years. I too have found it very useful and informative, and had also contributed $ a couple of years ago when given that option. Had planned to do the same with the new membership option, but, as I get older, I guess I can't figure out how to. lol
Sorry about the unsolicited feedback. Just trying to pad my post count. -stef
Sure it takes time, but not much. The hard part about this is remembering the exact title of the thread you are looking for. If you do know the exact title it is even easier to find. Don't forget to put the hdf in there. Also, if you know who started the thread (username) add that in there too. I know you are all smart enough to figure this out, just trying to simplify things for everyone so we do not have to waste a lot of time searching. I always search with Google as opposed to the forum search as it yields better result for me.

If you only want to search on this site, you can do that too on Google, It's actually faster than the search build in in the site. Just key in the following in google ...
