Not bad at all , 40 min start to finish . Did not have to take the wheel or tin off , just the bars to get to the nuts . I cant wait to get it off the lift and see how she sits . Im going to be finished as soon as my Hi Lo gets here . Have her up on the lift the shocks are ripped out and all her fluids are draining all 3 holes are getting amsoil .
Running to the stealer for 2 new drain gaskets ..... I love working on this thing , first HD for me and I take pride in doing all the work . With help from you all it has gone real smooth ... from installing new tires , apes , pipes , fenders ect.. and now suspension this forum in priceless .
FL front ends are a lot more work. You have to remove the wheel, fender, front tins and headlight so you can get the front forks off. One the forks are off, drain them, take them apart and replace the springs and spacer. Put them back together and put everything else back together. refill forks and you are done. I figure about 4 hours taking your time.
If we only had the FX front end, it would be a snap.
