Have any of you guys ran 100 octane on your softails FI or Carb'd models? if so did you feel/see any diffrance in performance/gas mileage? I ran some VP100 in my 08 Audi RS4 and had to replace all my 02sensors, That sh*t was not cool...
Nameless,
I don't have any of that around here, or any where I've ridden. I keep good ole 93 in mine when I can, couldn't afford 100 even if I could get it. ;o)

If one tank in your Audi fouled your sensors, why are they selling 100? What are you supposed to use it in?

My bike was not tuned with 100 octane, so I don't see a difference with it (I have tried a tank). I could have it tuned to feel a difference with it, but then I would suffer on 93 fuel.
A bike without a custom tune has a 50/50 shot at running better with higher octane, depending on how close their standard ECM map is.
Makes no sense to run it.
100 octane burns SLOWER than 93.
Unless you have jacked up the compression so high it needs 100 to slow firing your bike will produce less power not more.
It is a lot more than just tuning it to higher octane.
+1 on the burning slower. It's intended for racing applications that would detonate with lower octane fuel. A waste of money if you don't have high compression mods.
You are not going to run any better, and probably worse. If you haven't increased your compression considerably you are just throwing away money. Higher octane does not in itself increase performance, it slows the fuel burn to reduce pre-detonation in higher compression engines. I run SONOCO 110 in my snowmobile (50/50 with 93) with 14:1 heads (leaded). That is what the higher octane is designed for, not your daily driver. Google and decide for yourself, but I wouldn't do it.

I run 10.4:1 compression.
I could indeed tune it to benefit from the higher octane.
But I ride the bike, not trailer it to the drag strip. I don't wanna pay for high octane and then ride where there is none available.
