Anyone have any opinions on the Cobra Speedster Longs for the Deluxe? I'm sick and tired of my V&H Longshots getting blue every 200 miles or so. So Im in the market for a pipe that will not blue. I know the blueing is caused by air/fuel and temp values and I have been busy trying to resolve my heat and lean conditions. Installed PCIII and about to go Red Line for now. As soon as I pick up some pipes Im off to get her dynoed. Nothing like a beautifully chromed bike with blue and brown pipes. Anyway, if you guys have any options for what I can do that would be great. Thanks.
These Cobras have a lifetime warrantee that includes discolaration.
V&H will not do a thing for my pipes ---I tried. The customer service is typical of these days, so I will not purchase from them again.(considered getting the Radius for my Springer when the 07 pipes came out).
The VH are much better quality then the Cobra. If you are having problems with blueing with VH then you will surely have blueing with the Cobra. I found the Cobra blued at the header while my VH have stayed a beautiful shine. The chrome is more durable. If I get a boot smear on the VH it wipes off with little effort. If I get a boot smear on the Cobra I had to fight and scrub to get it off.
