I have tried the dealer and some specialized motorcycle tool dealers no luck. It is the tool for removing the snap in oil lines.
Removing the oil line is no problem but inside the oil tank fitting is some additional o rings etc that i believe the tool is needed for.

Try just about any auto parts store... I noticed that even Walsmart, Harbor Freight, Sears, Ace Hardware, etc had them... throw away the HD stock number, it is a universal tool.
Thanks guys i will take your advice on Sears etc.
My concern was the factory manual shows some type of plastic fitting up in the oil tank bung that needed to be changed when the line was removed and the tool was needed for that part.
I will try the ac line removers

I swapped out my tank and didn't use any tool to remove the lines. just squeeze the 2 plastic wings and pull the line comes out. to reinstall insert the plastic fitting in the tank and snap the lines back in. you will see it is an easy operation. It has to be for the kids at the dealer that work on these things
Like above, I replaced the oil tank on the Nightrain and did not have to use any tools at all to get the line out, just a small scribe to reach in and get the old 'o' rings out of the hole.
Just rock it side to side and pull slightly while squeezing the plastic clips. Might help to get some new clips from the dealer first if you never seen them so you can get a feel for how they clip in.
