Taillight wiring contamination
I lost my taillight last year at bbb in Fayetteville. Ended up with no power out of the little board in the rear. Since there was an extra unused pin with koeo power in that connector, I swapped the wire and got my light back. All of the connectors for the rear light and signals in the rear housing were water corroded and even had dirt/sand and crap in them. I know some of you guys ride in the rain, muddy rallies, etc. I'm a bit dissappointed that a 2-3 year has these issues.

Dirt and moisture is not necessarily a time thing... I have gotten into situations which if left untended would have been like leaving my bike in a mudslide for a year or two. You got to clean up after foul weather... that's a fact. If you get caught in heavy rain, you got to take things apart and make sure every thing is clean and dry. When I redo the factory wiring etc. that is why I always waterproof everything... so that I can pressure wash those places where you are not supposed to... like under the seat etc. I don't abuse my bike, but I ride it and weather happens.
