Hey guys my search power is weak today. Im seeing all the guys relocating the signals down to the forks on the bones. just wanted to see if there is a write up or something and what all need to be done to make it happen. it looks like they might hit the tankbut...... thank you
I dont get the fork relocation thing, I think keepin em on the bars keeps the springer fork clean. Wouldn’t even wanna guess how much those Heartland mirrors cost .....
I went with the method in the post recommended by Vic. It's clean and inexpensive. While I see the point Crossb0nes makes about keeping the clutter off the springer front end, I would prefer to keep what would be even more clutter off my bars. Especially when a guy switches to taller ape hangers. With the stock mini apes, I may not of done it. Flip a coin I guess.
I saw those mirrors you have there, but they don't come in black. The HD that do come in black are kinda ugly in my opinion and definitely don't go with the look of the bike.
The Heartland ones certainly weren't cheap, but I won some cash in my NFL pool this year, so it's kind of like found money that I rolled into an upgrade I'd been planning on doing for awhile anyway.
Im just looking for small thing that change the apperance a tad . I went with a badlander seat and that helepd my bike from looking like every other bones in the high dez. No im searching high and low to find a good set of red vintage coke bottle grips.
Best option I could find that would look good on my bike.
Given the option between turn signals on the bars or on the fork though I prefer on the fork. The only reason I didn't bother to relocate mine to the fork in the first place was that I was planning on going to mirror integrated ones anyway.
Now I'm trying to find a set of one piece pullback T-bars for a springer that come in black. Wild1 makes a set but only in Chrome, and they can't be powdercoated, only painted. Given the choice I'd rather not shell out for a set of bars that don't come the way I want them.
