In some respects I miss my V&H BSS pipes, but i can hear better now after 2 hours on the bike with the D&D fatcat I have. Was thinking about Rinehart crossbacks.... but $700.00 plus and I got an Andrews 30 T trans pulley ordered. Limited quid.

Enjoy your new ride.

If you think the pipes are too loud (quiet baffles only bring it down about 2db), you can ad these :http://www.smartpartz.com/vancehines.html

Worked for me, and they fit inside the quiet baffles.

I couldn't believe how loud these were when I picked up the bike yesterday.
They sound about like my V&H, especially when I start it up in the garage. That really amplifies the sound. I love the way mine sound, and actually they aren't as loud as the Cobras I used to have. I've never had any complaints...

Had them also. Sound great, look great, great quality. Not good on long, all day rides. Always got peoples attention though. lol They got a bit louder after adding a cam. If you wear ear plugs then you may be good to go. If you ride 2up, the passenger may not be happy after hours of listening to them though. The gf wears a full face and still got head aches.

Tried the q baffles. Just slightly quieter and deeper note. But choked the bike ~3,5oo - 4ooo rpm's. Q baffles were a waste of money for me.

On a long ride you may not be too happy with them, I ride mostly without a helmet and earplugs so the wind noise is louder than the pipes. I'll let you know next year as I will be riding with the ipod plugs in and see how I like the noise. I do love the way it sounds when the rpms come up, sounds like a race car great sound I too had quiet baffles and found them not for me they did tend to choke the motor down, plus the packing burns out in less than 3000miles and then try to get them out thats a fun job.
