Nothing wrong with venting. Hell you should be mad! I hate when people promise one thing and don't come through. It pisses me off to no end.

Well, as I said I left it on the lift and ended up changing out the chaincase lube yesterday. Presuming no further snafu's occur, the pulley should be delivered today and I was able to arrange to work from home after all. I'll either take a working lunch and try the install if it gets here early enough, or do it later this afternoon after getting my work done and hopefully it fits right and I can get a short test ride in... we'll see.
