Default Chrome beaded windshield kit

I like the classic, retro, old school look of my Heritage, & I like chrome. Most poeple can't tell if it's a '57,'67,'97, or an '07. It's almost timeless. Doesn't matter what year it was built. And I also like beaded windshields, but didn't want to swap mine out for a new one. So, I found a chrome bead kit on Ebay, and just bought one. I think it's gonna look sharp.

I really like the chrome moulding on my windshield. It is available about a 3rd cheaper on ebay if you look around. I can send the sellers name via pm if someone wants it.

I have no relation to the seller, just a satisfied customer.

This stuff is real hard to find, I searched quite a bit looking for it. I was kinda surprised to see it show up on Ebay, and for less than $20 bucks. I guess we'll see how it looks when it's delivered & installed. There's so much chrome on the bike it'self, this should be a balancing touch.

The roll of chrome bead showed up today in the mail. I took it out of the package, and let it warm up to room temp. I took the windshield off the bike, and laid it down on some towels on the bench. I cleaned the edge all the way around with glass cleaner. I started pressing the bead on at the bottom, and slowly worked it on all around to where I started. I trimmed it to a butt joint with my pocket knife and was done. This was a ten minute project, went on easier than I thought, and looks fantastic. It's self adhesive, easy to roll around curves, and really balanced out the chrome on this bike. I am thrilled with the results. I highly recommend it. I went completely around my King size windshield, and still had about 18" left over.

I just did the same to my windshield, I also blacked out the lower part of the windshield, I like it but a lot of people will hate it. Most don't want to draw attention to their windshield.
