Default Removed Belt Guards, Any Problems?

I did a search and was looking to revive the issue. For those who have taken the belt guards off, any issues or problems with debris. I know anything is possible so just asking for personal experience as i way the options. Thanks ahead of time.

I have had both belt guards off for several years without issue.

Thanks for the reply. If my buddies saw this reply they die of laughter because its hard for me to keep a bike more than a few years. Sounds good though. All the years of dirtbikes and hare scramble races, never had a problem, however, i know belts are a little different. Thanks again guys.

I had the low part off also. The mechanic told me to put one back, because you pull dust and other things into your primary. This is what he told me.

Ran without one on my fatty for a couple years and it was the first thing I pulled off my Luxe. Both top and bottom.

Mostly depending on the roads your ride, if you ride near lots of debris and pepples and small stones, bad idea .. if you run mostly free ways/ highways, should be OK.
in FEB. AIM, DP talks about rear belt drives and he says even small halls in the middle of the belt holds up OK, I was impressed.
