As Drew told me earlier you can only get them with the O2 bungs and I was planning on wrapping them and not sure how that would come out and look...Anyone wrap any pipes that has O2 bungs?
Have them on my Softail. I didn't know you could get full heat shields. I wrapped them when the blue pipe showed thru. I was pissed about the bluing. I wrapped them in silver wrap and it looked bad ***. After I rode it and the wrap stopped smoking the wrap turned into a burnt strange color that I'm not happy with. I'll be wrapping them with black wrap in the spring.
When you wrap with the black wrap, use the DEI silicone spray over the black wrap too. It should help[ the wrap keep it's color longer. If and when it does fade hit it with the silicone again. I didn't keep the wrapped pipes long enough to make it to a second spraying of the silicone... http://www.google.com/products/catal...d=0CCIQ8wIwAg#

Your pipes have the O2 bungs? How did the wrap look around them? any pics?
No o2 bungs. I think wrapping the o2 bungs would be one of those things that would only bother you because you know it's there. Does that make sense? Drew I totally forgot about the spray. The gray wrap came out awesome when it was fresh (the pics) but now it's a brown goldish ugly color. I wasn't expecting it to stay perfectly fresh looking but after 1 ride (about 50 miles) it looks like sh*t. Lesson learned.
You can get the full length heatshields in either chrome or ceramic black from Custom Dynamics. That's where I got mine from. The've got some cool stuff on their site. I'm thinking about changing out the ceramic black shields for chrome for a different look.
I love mine. They are loud! I ordered the heat shields from Custom Dynamics also. It took them forever to come in and the pipes are really hot without them. I haven't taken any pics since I put the heat shields on.
I have the black pro streets on my night train and i wrapped them black and spreyed them, i had to wrap arounf the 02 bungs and its not even noticable, they sound awesome too.
