Default Older Progressive shocks

Has anyone had the older 413 series Progressive shocks on their bike before & if so, how did they perform? I understand that they're not as good as the new 422s, but they are a lot less expensive, & there seems to be quite a few of them ,(never been mounted), still floating around for sale. Any opinions good or bad?
