Yeah Drew has been around for a long time... He's just stating which product is better in the long run! If I had the money I would have went with ride wright also, but by going with the DNA's I could get the new 23 incher for the front and still stay under the ride wright price. It's a choice I had to make for my self.

Ride Wright had an issue 3 years ago when Cali EPA made the seals everyone was using switch from petroleum base to a latex base.It took some doing to get the correct formula where they withstood the heat cycles tires endure. Mine were in that bunch and Sam made them right. No charge to me.
DNA had the same problems but also others.Broken spokes and hub issues come to mind.Fitment has always been a sore spot for them. You get what you pay for keeps coming up between these 2 brands. For you to buy a spacer to make 1 hub fit 3 or 4 applications is a way of controlling costs and passing it on to the customer. For some people this is a problem and some it's not.I've seen some of their wheels lately and they seem to have stepped up quality control, chrome especially.Maybe they have gotten the message. You would think so with the depressed motorcycle market.

Companies do not pay me to promote their products. I have to buy them just the same as everyone else. All I try to do is give a fair comparison between products. If I could actually find a company smart enough to give some free stuff they could make a bundle, but that has not happened as of yet.

I would kill for a free set of wheels. I really want those RSD Judge contrast cut now. Anyone from RSD reading this? LOL.

For anyone who has not worked in the MC industry, there is no glitz or glamour and freebies, at least not for me. I am at the bottom of the food chain. It is all about cut throat competition and who is willing to sell their stuff for the least amount of money and provide the best customer service. I did have DNA's but after they started leaking I got some Ride Wrights. Dealer cost on them was more than I paid retail for my DNA's. But I read a thread about a guy who got a flat getting on the freeway in his front DNA rim and that was all I needed to know. Even with a tube, I am not comfortable with having read that.

My Dna's were fine until I changed tires, and then they started to leak. I tubed them and run tubes in my ride Wrights as well. I'd rather have the chance of a flat tire with a tube than a leaking wheel without.

This subject is just like most other subjects I try to give feedback on. I know what I know first hand. Like I said before I hope all goes well for you guys with the DNA's. No hard feelings and I take no offense. I am just like the rest of you. I love Harley's and customizing them. That is it. Have a great weekend all.

Yes they went flat..... The guy wasn't runnen tubes..... i remember that thread too... I've read a couple of threads on how some Ride Writes failed also... Every product has their ups and downs....

Just a question, but how is it DNA's fault that your wheel leaked even with a tube? Did you buy new tubes (highly recommended) when you changed out your tires? Or did you re-use them? To me thats sounds like a defective tube....

And about Ride Writes (yes they are nice wheels also) lifetime warranty i could care less i wouldn't plan on having the same wheels for 80 yrs!...lol... just sayen.... A few yrs is good with me....

I mean the warranty would be nice. But when I go with Dna fat spokes, im saving almost
$800 bucks on a set of wheels, over other companies. And if I went with another wheel company, Id run tubes anyways. PERIOD. I have nothing but good things to say about DNA. from my experiences anyways. Just hope when I get my Fat spokes, I dont run into any probs. But as for the regular spokes that Dna makes, they are top notch, great looking wheels. Ive heard of other companies having problems also, in the past. So.......?
