I do not like apes. My stock bars are very comfortable, just don't like the look. I would like to have my bars a little lower and sweeping back towards me slightly. I want the side profile of the bike to flow better. I am thinking if the risers match the rake of the forks at first and then bend backwards just above the speedo. The thing I don't want to do is get them too low or forward and make it uncomfortable.

I am doing a lot of searching today and will look at my bike more when I return home to gander some more. I would like to keep stock cables and lines too.

I have drag bars with an 8 inch rise and 8 inch pullback. They have almost the exact same hand position, but feel way more solid than the stockers!

Bill at http://www.brcustomcycles.com/Home_Page.php would be worth talking to about custom bars to use with the stock risers.
In this video, he explains what he suggests to get the bars to fit you.

He made my bars.
