a short tinted shield like the CVO roadking had a few years ago. Really like the look of the short shield.

I think flames on a windshield looks silly.

Use the Harley type docking system so you don't have to buy and use a seperate docking kit.

I went with the F4 21 in, I am 6 ft and now my eyes are not bouncing in my head from the wind hitting the top of my helmet. Its also nice using Windex and a clean soft old tee shirt to clean it. One of my best mods

I changed the Windshield on my '10 heritage to the older higher one I am 6' and prefer the wind protection of the higher one . Keep it classic , it is a classic bike, just my 2 cents

for now I think we are just going to make replacement shields to go with the stock harley hardware.

Do you guys often break or need to change out shields?

I have the same one since new (2008). Its still in good shape. I could see a replacement in a few years from swirling and minor scratches. But I could micro mesh those out to further extend the life. I think the target market would be looking for more functionality with classic looks

still use the stocker,, did cut 2 1/2'' off it to see if it cut down the buffering.
Naw, it didn't help.

got a few scratches now after 4ys, thinking a new one soon.

Would you agree then that the average life of a windshield for the heritage bikes is between 4 and 6 years (assuming that a rider replaces his shield when it begins to show signs of wear and he likes to keep his bike pretty- There are some guys that never replace their shields)
