Default stupid seat question

OK, so its cold outside and not immediately obvious to me how the seat screw tab is removed from the rear fender and moved to the solo seat position. I searched the forums but didn't find an exact answer. What is the procedure?

Thanks in advance!

Got two holes but how do you remove the nut from the rear hole and move to the forward hole for the solo? Need to get at it from under the fender?

To get the mounting out you can reach under the fender with your hand to hold it while you remove the c clip that holds it in place. very simple to do.

On the Train is just a forward hole and rear (not like the 'luxe). Once you remove the 2up seat, there is the forward hole with a little black push in cover on it, just pop it out.

You have to get at the nutplate from underneath to move it to the front hole. I dont remember right off (I'm in Iraq, long way from my bike, lol), but it's a little c-clip I think. All I remember is that it was a little more of a pain getting my arm under there all the way to the forward hole to re-attach it from underneath. I think I just held it with a long pair of pliers or something because I was too lazy to get the jack.

Piece of cake. Then I just stuck the little cap in the aft hole.

Lol, just realized that Blk & Chrome popped the answer up there while I was still typing. Guess I talk too much.

BTW County98, I'm installing the same seat you have. Tattoo Solo. Saddlemen eventually sent it to me although they never answered my emails. On the bike it seems to sit higher and more forward than the Badlander (opposite of what I want) but I'll withhold judgement until I ride on it for a while.
