I like the KW fender because it is a little thicker and covers more of the wheel then the hertige fender from stock bolt docking. It sits down over the top of the rim with out moddifing hook up.
Bobber, I agree that I will have to make rear fender match at the bottom when I stretch it. It may look better with the flare than the dove tail, we will see?
21" hmmm, I don't know.
As far as all the guys that like the classic fat boy look, I feel your pain bro's! I think that you should keep that tradition going and I strongly support that. It's important to have guys that keep the traditional look and you have my repect.
But, I'm not one of those guys! I like the complete custom and modification of the Harley Davidson motorcycle. I'm also doing mods to an Ultra classic that is a cross between a streetglide and a classic.
Smaller fender is factory and the larger one I just finished painting.
I have now started on the rear fender, but that will take awhile since I've decided to build the 9" stretch myself, then paint to match. I may end up adding a slight dovetail to the front, but I want to see the rear fender done first to match it better.
When I'm done with the fenders, I'm either taking the sled to the next level of mods (wheels etc...) or I'm selling her and starting over. I'm not going to decide until I finish my fender mods.

I really do believe you...but if you do sell it, at least a few of us on Lo's will save some money in the long run!

I met this guy who worked on movies sets and would purchase a bike, customize the heck out of it, then sell it to fund his next project. One of the bikes he had at SEMA a while back was completely done up after the Pirates of the Caribbean. The paint or rather the artwork was very well done. Perhaps, something to consider.
