5'6" here and was running 12.5 wild 1's with 1" risers. They fit perfect but had to remove them due to a shoulder injury. Also running a LePera Bare Bones seat, puts you lower and back more in the saddle.
I'm 5'9", 66 years old and like long rides. I've had 16 and 18
inch apes in my younger years, but now that I'm older my
hands go to sleep on anything higher than 14"s.

I'm 5-6 and may consider modest apes at some point. Although...I do like the stock bars on my FB Lo...they put me in a sporting posture that I like to attack the curves.
I would be concerned of the apes and their effect on handling and the ability to "push" and lay the bike over when turning or when in the curves.
I think the stock bars make the bike a riders motorcycle. And the apes make it a cruiser/bar hopper.
One riding bud already told me I ride this Fat Boy like it's a VRod. LoL.
Thoughts?
any handlebars that puts your hands/clutch and rear brake levers above ones shoulders makes long cruises very uncomfortable,
you'll notice ape riders will ride one handed often due to numbness., I could be wrong??
