Default Braided cable question
I have an '02 Deuce and I am looking at putting a set of Carlini bars on it, super sweeps, 9" rise- 11.5" pullback. I want to go with braided cables. The ones I am looking at have "armor" coating on them. Does anyone know anything about them? good,bad or otherwise? I hear the coating turns yellow after time along with cracking. Any input is appreciated.

The Magnum Sterling Chromite II's are what you need. They will never fade. They are the nicest cables around. Dr. V-twin is the West Coasts top seller of these cables.

Listen to the Doctor! My 11 year old FLTRSEI cables are starting to yellow, and would have sooner had I not been using sun screen lotion on them, (little trick I learned 'way back.) But time and sun still win.

11 years old? LOL. Suncreen? Never have heard that one before. I guess you learn something everyday. Mine are yet to yellow, but my bike is only nearing 10 years old as well. My Harley Diamond backs yellowed in less than a year.

Yep, it's apparently the sun that yellows the plastic, and the sunscreen blocks the ultraviolet.
