First Service
Dealer is $300+ for service. You can do all 3 holes with filter for around $70.00. An oil change takes about 20 minutes and to do all 3 holes around an hour or so.
Not starting an oil debate but I use Aimsoil in my ride and like it. I did my first change a 1000 miles and just did the second oil change last weekend at 4566 miles. 3 qt of aimsoil was $33.00 and filter was $12.00.

I did my first service at around 600 miles because....
A.) I bought it in September and it was coming up on winter and they say you should store a bike with fresh oil.
B.) My dealer/Service guy (That I trust) said to wait until 500 miles to mod the bike...so it was an excuse to ride more and mod the bike!

While your bike is there, ask them to let you go in back and show you what is being done and where everything is. He will show you where all the fluid levels should be, where the drain bolts are, how to check fluids et etc... he can also show you where to look for grease in the springer front end, how to adjust your shocks...
If you dont know where all this is located he will show you, that way when you get a manual it will be eaiser to follow the instructions...
You can also talk him into adjusting your hadle bars or if you are short/tall there is an adjustment on the seat mounting hardware that will move the seat forward or back toward the fender a little.
I learned my bike had a "brain" and a regulator... Since I havent ridden in many years this was all new to me... Guess I don't have to waste time looking for the points
