Well after getting into American Iron Mag I decided to enter my sled into it's first bike show also, so I'm just going to hitch onto your post here. I hope that's ok bro.
I entered into the Big Twin Class with 12 other Chrome sleds and man they were beautiful. I was the only black betty.
I got runner up in my class and I was quite pleased. They were getting ready to announce The big awards next and since I got runner up in my class, I just started to walk back towards my sled. There were 6 classes and the 4 big awards were; 1) Best engine, 2) Best paint job, 3) Best built and 4) Best of show. These 4 covered all 6 classes.
They called them in that order and all I heard was my name called and my buds hollering at me. I went back to except the award for
"Best Of Show"!!! Made my day for sure. There were at least 25 bikes in the show choppers and all, so chaulk one up for the softail!
So heres my Best of show trophy with my Big Twin class runner up plaque.
Jim, Thats killer **** congrats. I got one of those a while back here in Central Oregon at the Rod and custom show. Your sled looks smooth.

i read the first post and was impressed by your bike greatly! then i saw tlb's avatar...i was also impressed...but none the less congrats!! your bike is incredible looking!
Great looking bike. I went to a bike show yesterday, unfortunately there was a full on blizzard going. All the highways were closed and no travel advised for 100 miles in every direction from my town. The only bikes in atendance were those that came in the day before. Several classes had no or only 1 or 2 entries. It was a bust. Sad, it is usually a great show.
