Default Screwry Turn signal problems

Man, I got the bajeebies scared out of my a__. I was riding and this (as I called her at first) bitch pulled out in front me, I damn near ran into her. Then I looked down and noticed my left turn signal on. I tried to turn it off and it wouldn't. I washed the bike Saturday for a ride to Greenville, SC for a bike show, and the turn signal have been screwy since. When I turn the switch on the left signal it won't work, but then it automatically comes on and I have to hit the right switch to stop it. But, then the four ways come on. Its weird, and scary. If anyone has had this happen, any info in resolving this would be greatly a'peciated. Thanks dudes and dudettes.

If it comes on when you turn the bike on the switch is broken. I just replaced my second today.

It is $60 retail for the witch from Harley.

Default Screwy Turrn Signals

Did you change the switch yourself? If so, how hard was it, where did you get the switch, and how much? Is there a thread for changing it?

Is it hard and can this be done by an owner, or should it be left up to a stealership.

No it's not difficult, put the switch in the the reverse of how you take out the old one.

If you washed it recently, you may have water in the switch. Try flushing it out with WD-40....it's non-conductive and was designed to displace water.
